Carbon Dioxide Neutral Biofuels
The Solution to Climate Change!

All of our energy comes from the SUN and it is FREE!

Plants, trees and vegetation convert energy from sunlight into carbon forms such as sugar and carbohydrates of various types through a process known as 'photosynthesis'. Instead of digging deep down into the earth for the fossil fuels of plants that died millions of years ago, all we have to do is to take our energy from plants that are living today!

If we continue to dig miles down into the ground to obtain the fossil fuels from plants that died millions of years ago, we will be emmitting in a few decades all of the Carbon Dioxide from plants that grew and died over millions of years! In effect we are burning off the Earth's ancient store without growing the corresponding amount of plants and vegetation to offset this today! Hence we have 'Global Warming' where the amount of Carbon Dioxide in the athmosphere is rising very quickly because we are burning ancient fossil fuels from plants that died millions of years ago and that are therefore not re-absorbing the corresponding amount of Carbon Dioxide today!

Fuels that come from plants that are living today are called 'Carbon Dioxide Neutral' Biofuels e.g BioDiesel made from vegetable oil, Bio-Ethanol made from sugar sources such as beet or corn and Pure Plant Oil (PPC). The reason why these Biofuels are 'Carbon Dioxide Neutral' is because the amount of Carbon Dioxide emmitted when these fuels are used is 100% offset by the amount of Carbon Dioxide absorbed by the plants that are grown to make them!

It has been confirmed by both The UN and The World's leading scientists that Fossil Fuels (oil & coal) are the primary cause of Global Warming! In the same way that CFC's were phased out and eventually banned, so too must fossil fuels be phased out and eventually banned. If we do not phase out and ban fossil fuels it will be catastrophic for our planet!

The process of converting all of our energy supplies to Carbon Dioxide Neutral Fuels is simply a matter of changing how we source our energy from the Sun by using plants grown today instead of plants grown millions of years ago!

Carbon Dioxide Neutral Biofuels are already being be produced from crops grown locally by farmers in The USA and Europe! There is no need to cut down any rainforests in Indonesia or South America in order to produce the crops required for our Biofuel needs! The crops required to make Biofuels have been successfully produced by farmers in The USA and Europe for hundreds of years! It is critical that we grow most of the crops required for biofules in the Western World as we would lose most of the benefits of Carbon Dioxide Neutral Biofuels if any rainforests in Indonesia or South America were cut down to produce the crops for them!

The growth of Carbon Dioxide Neutral Biofuel crops in The USA will also create hundreds of thousands of jobs in America and breathe life back into US agriculture and US farms. Our new home based Biofuel industry will revitalize America's farming heartland! Billions of Dollars every year in US consumer spending will be diverted away from oil suppliers in The Middle East and back into US farmers and The US economy!
Biofuels manufactured from corn, sugar and biomass such as switchgrass and agricultural waste have tremendous potential to not only reduce our dependency on foreign oil, but also to improve our environment! US Biorefineries will provide billions of gallons of cellulosic ethanol each year from energy crops such as switchgrass, agricultural waste such as corn cobs and husks, and a variety of other agricultural resources such as wood, straw, sorghum and waste milk lactose!

The net effect of converting our energy supplies to Carbon Dioxide Neutral Biofuels in The USA will be:

(1) A huge slowdown in Global Warming and Climate Change!
(2) Billions of Dollars every year in US consumer spending redirected away from oil suppliers in The Middle East and back into US farmers and The US economy!
(3) Hundreds of thousands of US jobs created in the US farming and US industry!

Please write to your local senator and congressman to ensure that bills are passed and enforced to phase out and ban the use of fossil fuels and to replace them with Carbon Dioxide Neutral Biofuels. New laws are already being introduced to require car manufacturers to produce increasing numbers of Flexible Fuel Vehicles (FFV's) and major oil companies to phase in the installation of Biofuel pumps at the stations that they own or brand.

Please also find below some other simple suggestions for reducing your own Carbon Dioxide emmissions in your daily life. Remember that on average one single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over it's lifetime. By taking the simple steps below in your daily life, you can save up to 500 tons of greenhouse gases per year. That's equivalent to planting 500 trees every year of your life!

At Home:

(1) Buy fresh foods instead of frozen. Frozen food uses 10 times more energy to produce, store, defrost and cook!

(2) Buy organic foods as much as possible: Organic soils capture and store carbon dioxide at much higher levels than soils from conventional farms. If we grew all of our corn and soybeans organically, we'd remove 580 billion pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere!

(3) Recycle, Recycle, Recycle: Be sure you're recycling at home: You can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide a year by recycling half of the waste your household generates. Buy recycled paper products: It takes less 70 to 90 percent less energy to make recycled paper and it also prevents the loss of fresh forests worldwide!

(4) Replace a regular incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb (cfl): CFLs use 60% less energy than a regular bulb. This simple switch will save about 300 pounds of carbon dioxide a year. If every family in The UK & Ireland made the switch, we'd reduce carbon dioxide emmissions by more than 50 billion pounds!

(5) Only boil the amount of water that you actually need at any time: We have all made the mistake of filling or half filling the kettle when all we needed was one cup of hot water for tea or coffee!

(6) Move your thermostat down 2°C: Almost half of the energy we use in our homes goes to heating. You could save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide a year with this simple adjustment. Also get your heating system serviced regularly. Cleaning or replacing a dirty air filter can save 350 pounds of carbon dioxide a year!

(7) Put a lagging or insulation jacket on your hot water boiler: These cost just a few pounds and can reduce the amount of energy wasted by an immersion heater by up to 40%!

(8) Put a timer switch on your hot water boiler: We have all made the mistake of putting the water boiler on and forgetting to turn it off! A simple timer switch can be supplied and installed by an electrician for less than £50 and will save you money and help to reduce carbon emmissions and global warming!

(9) Make sure that your home is properly insulated: Much of the energy that we use to heat our homes is needlessly lost through bad insulation! Grants are available from most local councils to properly insulate your home!

(10) Be smart with your dishwasher & clothes drier: Only run your dishwasher when there's a full load. This saves an average of 100 pounds of carbon dioxide per year! Use an indoor or outdoor air drier for your clothes where possible. This saves an average of 700 pounds of carbon dioxide per year!

(11) Turn off electronic devices when you're not using them: Simply turning off your television, dvd player, stereo, and computer when you're not using them will save you thousands of pounds of carbon dioxide per year! Remeber to turn them off completely, as these appliances waste loads of energy even when they are in 'standby' mode! Also be sure to unplug all electronic devices from the wall when you are not using them.

In the Car:

(1) Reduce the number of miles you drive by walking, biking, carpooling or taking public transport wherever possible: Avoiding just 10 miles of driving every week would eliminate about 500 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions a year!

(2) Move up gears as quickly as possible: Changing up to higher gear more quickly can reduce the amount of fuel that you use by 10%! Also make sure that your tyres are properly inflated! Badly inflated tyres can increase the amount of fuel that you use by 5-10%!

(3) Drive at a consisitent speed: Avoid excessive acceleration and deceleration. This can reduce the amount of fuel that you use by over 10%! You'll know you're going at the right speed when you keep catching up with the car that speeded past you!

(4) Get your car serviced regularly: Properly maintaining your car will save you fuel and money. Get the oil and filters changed regularly and have a certified mechanic give your engine a look over.

(5) Buy a hybrid or more fuel economical car: Not only do hybrid cars give you immediate savings at the pump, the government and local council offer tax breaks for people who use fuel saving cars. If you can't afford the growing number of hybrid cars out there, consider getting a regular car with good MPG (miles per gallon). Doing a small amount of simple research before you choose the car you buy can save you a fortune in fuel and help save our planet! SUV's are the worst offenders! SUV's are not only bad for the environment but they also increase a pedestrian's or cyclist's risk of death by up to 155% if you hit them!

(6) Move closer to work or work closer to home: Move closer to your job (or public transportation to your job), or get a job closer to your home. Then you will be able to walk or ride a bike on nice days, and spend a lot less time in the car when the weather isn't so nice!
